Tommy Lee Poindexter, 18, was indicted Thursday on charges of sexual battery by multiple perpetrators, kidnapping and promoting sexual performance by a child, grand theft of a motor vehicle and burglary with assault or battery.

Three other teens; Jakaris Taylor, 15; Nathan Walker, 16; and Avion Lawson, 14; were charged last month with similar charges. If convicted of all charges, they could face up to life in prison.

Prosecutors believe the four were among an armed group of as many as 10 teens wearing masks that raped the 35-year-old woman and beat her son. The woman told authorities she was forced at gunpoint to perform oral sex on her son during the June 18 attack at the Dunbar Village housing project. The attackers also beat the boy and poured cleaning solution into his eyes, police said.

Investigators said more arrests are possible.

It was not immediately known if Poindexter had an attorney. A telephone message left at the state attorney's office was not immediately returned.
